Working with Savroc
One project, from your drawings to production in your plant.
Savroc is the engineering company behind TripleHard®. We take your move away from hexavalent chromium from the first simulation of your parts to stable production in your plant, and we stay until it runs to the targets we agree with you.
What working with Savroc looks like
Six phases. Savroc in every one.
What happens, what you get, and what you decide.
Phase 1 of 6
Targets and starting point
Tell us the parts, the specifications they must meet, the volumes and how you coat them today. We go through it with your engineers, in Kuopio or online.
- You get
- A shared target memo and a project plan.
- You decide
- Go on to simulation.
Phase 2 of 6
Simulation for your parts
TripleHard® is already proven, so we start from your drawings, not from coating trials. We model how the coating builds on your parts and the capacity your volumes need.
- You get
- A simulation report for your parts.
- You decide
- Go on to design.
Phase 3 of 6
Design and targets
We design the new line, or the conversion of your existing one, with you. The targets your parts must meet are agreed in writing before anything is built.
- You get
- A line concept or conversion plan, a capacity calculation and written acceptance criteria.
- You decide
- The investment and the contracts: the licence with Savroc and, for a new line, the line order with our equipment partner.
Phase 4 of 6
Build or convert
A new line for hydraulic rods is built by our equipment partner to Savroc's process design. An existing line is converted to Savroc's plan, with Savroc guiding the work.
- You get
- The line, ready for commissioning.
Phase 5 of 6
Commissioning in your plant
Our process engineers commission the process in your plant, train your operators and run it with you until it meets the agreed targets.
- You get
- An accepted trial run and the qualification documentation.
Phase 6 of 6
Production and support
The licence keeps us with you: chemistry, process support, optimisation and troubleshooting, and the process-control software as it is completed.
- You get
- Stable production, and a partner who stays.

Who does what
Who does what in a TripleHard® project?
| Phase | You | Savroc | Line builder |
|---|---|---|---|
| Targets and starting point | Parts, specifications, volumes, today's process | Reviews them with your engineers, proposes the plan | – |
| Simulation | Drawings | Models the coating on your parts | – |
| Design and targets | Plant data, the targets with us, the investment decision | Line concept or conversion plan, capacity, written acceptance criteria | Equipment design for a new line |
| Build or convert | The site, or your line for conversion | Process design, inspections, guides a conversion | Builds, delivers and installs a new line |
| Commissioning | Operators, your own OEM qualification | Commissions the process on site, trains, runs it to the targets | Hands over the line |
| Production | Runs production | Chemistry, process support, optimisation, software | – |
Shared responsibility
How do we know it worked?
- Targets in writing. The targets your parts must meet are agreed in writing before the line is built or converted.
- Run until they are met. Our process engineers commission the process in your plant and stay until it runs to those targets.
- Data at every decision. Every phase ends with data you can take to your management. You decide whether to continue.
Two routes
A new line, or your existing line converted.
Hydraulic cylinder rods need the continuous line: a complete new line, built by our equipment partner to Savroc's process design.
Engine valves, shock absorber rods and open-tank work run on your existing line, converted: a TripleHard® Cr(III) bath replaces the Cr(VI) bath, a nickel bath is added if the line has none, and ordinary ventilation replaces the scrubbers. Only phase 4 differs between the routes.
Current Available now. TripleHard® has been tested for engine valves and shock absorber rods; each customer application is engineered from the customer's drawings and verified during commissioning.

For the project lead
Making the case inside your company.
Short answers for every desk that has to say yes. The data behind them comes with the project.
-
Purchasing
What does it cost, and who supplies it?
The licence, chemistry and support from Savroc; the line from our partner, or your existing line converted. Costs are set before you invest.
-
Health, safety and environment
What changes for our people?
A Cr(III) hard-chrome process replaces the Cr(VI) chemistry your people handle today. The continuous line is fully enclosed.
-
Management
Timeline, investment, risk.
Every phase ends in a decision, so the first commitment is small. TripleHard® has been in industrial production since 2024, and the EU restriction of Cr(VI) is on its way.
What you sign, and with whom
Two agreements, one project.
Savroc agreement with Savroc
-
TripleHard® process licence
The right to run TripleHard® in your own plant, per plant and territory
-
Process-control software
In development; designed to be included with each line licence

-
Engineering, commissioning and support
Simulation, design, commissioning in your plant, process support in production

Line builder line order, for a new line

Part of every licence
Process-control software: the same quality on every line.
Process-control software is being developed for the continuous production line, with real-time process monitoring, alarms and part-level traceability, designed to be included with each line licence.
In development Designed to be included with each line licence.
- MonitorProcess parameters in real time.
- AlarmDeviations flagged as they happen.
- TraceProcess data for every part.

Who you work with
You work with the people who developed TripleHard®.
A team of five in Kuopio runs every project: the CEO who co-invented the coating and took it to the continuous line, a surface engineering specialist with over thirty years in plating, the laboratory engineer behind every test result on this site, and the people who design and build the pilot equipment.
Meet the teamQuestions about working with Savroc
What do we need to start?
Your part drawings or a diameter and length range, the specifications the parts must meet, the target annual volume and coating thickness, and how you coat them today. For a new line, also the plant: floor area and height, power, water and ventilation.
Do you coat our parts to test the coating?
Normally not. TripleHard® is already tested and in industrial use, so a project starts from the simulation of your parts, which can be done from drawings. Coating samples is possible on special request.
What does our own team do in the project?
Your engineers set the targets with us and make the decision at the end of each phase. Your plant provides the space, the utilities and the operators we train, and your quality team runs your own OEM qualification with our data.
How long does a project take?
The two routes differ. Converting an existing line is the shorter route; the time to stable series production depends on the line, the part families and the validation your customers require. A new continuous line is a capital project with a lead time set by its engineering and manufacture, agreed in the design phase. In both cases your own OEM qualification usually runs longer than the installation, and we support it with data throughout.
Can an existing line be licensed instead of buying a new one?
For hydraulic cylinder rods, no: the continuous process needs a new line. For engine valves, shock absorber rods and open-tank work an existing line can be converted, with a nickel bath added where the line has none.
Where can TripleHard® be licensed?
The model is designed to scale worldwide: licences are agreed per customer, plant and territory, with lines from our equipment partner and the engineering from Savroc.
